Today is Bill Dart's birthday. We had a celebratory meal at Waffle House ( Mr. Dart's favorite- he loved the All Star Special) and then went to drop flowers off for him. He would have been 62 today. He was a kind generous, loving man. He is greatly loved and greatly missed.

38 Weeks
Size of baby: Pumpkin
Developmental Milestones:
- May have about an inch or so of hair already.- Full term! He is now ready to live outside the womb!
How I am feeling: Getting more and more excited to finally see him. I am not completely ready for him to come just yet because I want to get past the closings on houses and clean and set up more but I am more than ready for him during his due date week.
Highlights this week: We close on our new house this Friday and close the sale of the townhouse on Monday! Once we get past this Monday I feel like all the business stuff will be done and I can focus completely on the baby. Movers came this past weekend and moved all of our furniture out, now all there is left to do is grab leftover kitchen things and some clothes and we are finally out of 809 Mallery Street! We are already living at the office condo and so far so good. It is very small and we are still trying to figure out where to put everything we brought over but it has been fun to be somewhere different. We are within walking distance to the beach and look forward to going a lot over the next few weekends to relax before baby.
Big Big News!! Baby Dart had a new cousin born May 3!! Elizabeth Jane Dart is the newest member of the family and we are so happy for Matt, Miller, and Will. She will be going by Liza. We cannot wait to meet her when they come down to visit this summer.

37 weeks
I haven't been very good about posting during the right time of each week so I am going to skip 36 weeks and do 37 since I am officially 37 weeks tomorrow.
Size of baby: Watermelon
How I'm feeling: I am starting to get really excited and nervous at the same time. I have all the basics/stuff I need for him so I feel prepared in that way but wonder if I will be able to keep up a newborn living thing once I take him home. I've read a million websites and lots of books and it is very overwhelming so my plan now is to just love him with all my heart, pray a lot, and try to go with the flow. And if that doesn't work then I'm going to call every relative within a 300 mile radius to come help :-)
Highlights this week: Had a doctor appointment yesterday. Baby boy is doing great, measuring perfectly and has a great heartbeat. He has not dropped yet and his legs are sort of stuck under my ribs. In order to measure him they had to lean the chair back so far that my head was lower than my body so they could find his feet to get his length. My blood pressure was a little elevated due to stress. Just because I am moving in 10 days and having a baby in 3 weeks they think I'm stressed ? ;-) All I had to do was lie on my left side and my blood pressure came down within minutes. I'm not sure how or why that works but during your whole pregnancy they tell you to sleep on your left side. So I was told to try to take it easy these last few weeks and rest on my left side throughout the day. Easier said than done but I am going to try.
In other news Baby Dart is going to have a cousin this Thursday!! Beau's brother Matt and his wife Miller will welcome a baby girl by C-section this Thursday afternoon. I am going to post her picture as soon as I get one. I am so happy there will be 4 cousins so close in age and really hope they grow up to be close friends. We are so excited for them and can't wait to see them when they come visit during July 4th. I already have secret plans to get a picture of all the cousins lined up and wearing matching Dr. Seuss Thing 1, Thing 2, Thing, and Thing 4 shirts- how cute will that be? Congratulations Matt, Miller and big brother Will!

35 weeks
Size of baby: Butternut squash
Developmental milestones:
- hearing is fully developed, and he responds best to high-pitched noises
- he'll put on a pound or more of baby fat before birth.
How I'm feeling: Definitely more tired since my trips to the bathroom at night have increased the bigger that he gets. Started feeling Braxton Hicks contractions for the first time last Thursday. Not painful but just uncomfortable feeling of tightening around the belly. He is still very active, loves kicking me in the ribs ;-)
Highlights this week: I had my 36 week appointment today and now I am officially going to my doctor every week ( I am 35 weeks and 5 days so they count me as 36 ). He is measuring right on schedule and is doing very well. I am always worried about his weight since being diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes but because I was right past the borderline for it and I have been testing my sugars constantly and keeping an eye on what I eat he hasn't been affected at all by it.
The biggest news is that we sold our townhouse!! We have to be out by May 14 which is soon but we got a great offer and luckily we have the condo above Beau's office to move into while work is being done on the new house. I will be busy packing boxes all this week and weekend while Beau is recovering from having his wisdom teeth taken out on Thursday. Wish him luck on his surgery!

Baby Shower
This Saturday Casey, Jessica, my good friend Christy, and Miller ( in spirit ) threw an amazing baby shower! The food was great and of course you know the cake was going to be unbelievable. The theme was a " Babee Shower" with adorable beehive cake, cookies, and beehive tags for the gifts to be displayed under. It really turned out so well. I was so impressed with all the detail they put into it. Baby Dart got some great stuff. I loved having so many friends and family together to celebrate. I felt so loved and I know this baby is going to be so loved and spoiled :-)

34 Weeks
I am a little behind, I will actually be 35 weeks tomorrow but I am going to go ahead and do 34 weeks so everyone can see how much he (and I) has grown. Size of baby: A durian fruit
Developmental milestones:- recognizing and reacting to simple songs, if you're singing them
- urinating about a pint a day
How I'm feeling: I am a little tired since sleep is interrupted throughout the night for bathroom breaks. He also gets super active some nights and starts kicking like crazy and sometimes it's enough to wake me up and keep me up until I find a sleeping position that calms him down. I feel like my belly has grown a lot in just 1 week and I am interested to see how much bigger I will get these last few weeks.
Highlights this week: Last Tuesday we did the Maternity Center tour at the hospital which was great because we got to see a room and all the equipment. I think we got a good feel for how things will go on D- Day. The rest of the week was spent getting ready for family and the excitement of the baby shower. We also had a few showings of our townhouse that went really well and we are hoping to get an offer any day now.

Happy Easter
Hope everyone had a great Easter weekend! We had beautiful weather and a very relaxing Sunday. Went to our church service and then met with Beau's mom and godparents at the King and Prince Resort for their Easter brunch buffet. The food was so good and I think each of us went about 3 rounds at the buffet.
Mrs. Dart gave us an Easter basket where she stocked it full of her beautiful Easter cookies.
The rest of the day was spent watching the Masters. We really wanted Matt Kuchar to win. He lives on Saint Simons and he graduated from Tech. Although I am happy for Bubba Watson on his win we could have done without all the UGA bulldog barking from his fans. It was fun to watch anyway.
Now I'm getting ready this week for more baby classes and lots of family coming in town for the baby shower this Saturday!
